To Whom It May Concern:
I submitted an application to be licensed as an insurance producer two weeks ago. Since that time, the Department of Insurance has given a plethora of reasons for the delay in processing my appointment. Most recently, Jackie McDaniel has blamed SLED for the delay and technical difficulties. I contacted SLED directly and requested an email with my fingerprints be sent to Willie Seawright yesterday. This department is still unable to acknowledge receipt of this information or provide a time frame for when they will approve my license. Interestingly enough, there was no delay in cashing my check for the application fee.
I have been out of work for two months and have exhausted my savings in an effort to avoid utilizing unemployment; however, this delay is pushing me towards bankruptcy. I am appalled by the choice to blame another government agency. As a taxpayer, I am asking for your assistance in getting my license approved so that I may work and not be forced to use unemployment. I look forward to your response. Thank you in advance for your time and help in this matter.
