Hi Angel,

I wasn't clear in my explanation, so sorry.   The House did a resolution. If you want one done by the Governor, you can request that and I am happy to assist.

If you'd like to put the truest into a letter, I will happily forward it to her staff.

Hope this is more helpful,

Dear Shannon,

That’s great. I did not realize that another Exchange Club had already requested this. No need to duplicate efforts. The people at my National headquarters asked me to do it so, if I could just get a copy signed by the Governor, that will suffice. Thanks so much!

Hi Angel - when I sent this to my legislative counsel, they advised me that this has already been done for a few House members already. To be frank, it doesn't seem to be necessary to have another House resolution done by me.

I can do a certificate personally.  Would that be ok?

Let me know,

Dear Representative Erickson and Senator Campsen,

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This month provides an excellent opportunity for our State to demonstrate its support in ending child abuse and to support the numerous victims and survivors who are among us. Moreover, it is a wonderful opportunity to educate the public on the seriousness of child abuse and neglect and the prevalence of this epidemic in our lives.

The Exchange Club adopted the prevention of child abuse as its National Project in 1979 and has since worked toward preventing child abuse. The Exchange Club would be honored if you would sponsor an official proclamation to recognize April as  National Child Abuse Prevention Month. Your proclamation would lend official recognition to the important work of educating the public on child abuse and neglect, as well as emphasize your personal commitment to ending these crimes.

The Beaufort Exchange Club is sponsoring KidFest on April 2, 2016 in the Beaufort Belk’s Parking Lot. We hope you will attend this special event to present the proclamation.   Thank you for your kind consideration.

Sincerely,

Angel Flewelling, SC District President
