I hope all is well.  I wanted to contact you regarding teacher pay.  I recently completed my Master's degree.  Now, I have student loans.  The raise that I received for getting my Master's degree didn't even cover the student loan payments.  The interest rates on student loans is ridiculous.  I have been teaching for six years.  I teach Biology.  It seems that the American dream is getting farther and farther out of my reach.  I am 28 and I still live with my parents.  I can not afford a home.  I work extremely hard in my job, and my pay doesn't reflect the amount of work I put in.  I had somewhere around 85% pass the EOC last year with little recognition and it seems the only ones in education making any money are the ones in administration.  The teachers do all the work and do not get the pay they deserve.  My financial picture is bleak and I need help.
