Former Lottery Employee Faces

(Columbia-AP) -- Authorities say a former
lottery employee who is the son of state Representative John Scott
has been charged with taking more than $1,000 in promotional funds
from the South Carolina Education Lottery.
The State Law
Enforcement Division says John L. Scott, III was arrested about 3
p.m. Thursday and charged with breach of trust with fraudulent
intent.
Representative John Scott of Columbia had a key role
in setting up the state lottery. He had no comment on his son's
arrest. |
