Dear Mr. Godfrey,

I am part of the production team for Connections with Evan Dawson, the midday talk show at WXXI Radio in Rochester and the Finger Lakes, NY. We are an NPR affiliate with a terrestrial listenership of more than 35,000 people. 

The show idea we are currently working on is called "What's in a name?" and was initially inspired by Governor Nikki Haley. We would like to start a conversation about the way names symbolize identity (if they do) and what this means when names invite certain social stigmas, especially among people of public standing. As the idea was inspired by Governor Haley we would like to invite her to share her thoughts as a guest during our show.

Our schedule is very flexible between February 8th and the end of the month. The Governor could act as a guest during the first hour (12:07-1:00pm) either by calling in for all or part of the hour, or by doing a pre-recorded interview with our staff. We would be honored to have her. Please indicate interest as soon as possible.
