Hurricane Isabel Lashes N.C.
(Columbia-AP) -- A tropical storm warning is still in effect for Georgetown and Horry counties this morning, as Hurricane Isabel bears down on Cape Lookout, North Carolina.

At 8 a-m, Isabel was 95 miles southeast of Cape Lookout. The storm is moving to the northwest at 15 miles an hour. Highest sustained winds are 100 miles an hour.

Isabel is expected to make landfall around Cape Lookout early this afternoon.

At 8 am, Myrtle Beach reported winds of 23 miles an hour, with gusts up to 29 miles an hour. Gusts of up to 45 miles an hour are expected by late this morning.

There's a 50 percent chance of rain today on the Grand Strand. It is raining on the beach this morning.

Schools are closed in Georgetown County. They are open in Horry County.
