Ms Haley as a Governor should surely know enough history to be familiar with the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882. We have, unfortunately, put limits on immigration due to ethnicity in the past. The Act is generally taught and should be familiar to most students who have taken a course in 19th century US History. Please urge the Governor to correct her statements - she can clearly use the Act as an example of what we SHOULD NOT repeat again, but please do not claim we have never done so - she must be accurate, especially so that students and young people are not ignorant of our history. Thank you - I hope you will bring this to her attention.
