Dear Governor Haley,

	I would like to take this opportunity to thank-you for your work on the Retired Military tax exemption. 

	As of April second, I will be eligible for my Military Retirement.  I entered the Military in 1974 directly out of High School, partly to avoid being drafted, but more so because I was really interested in the Navy.  I served 10 years active duty in the Navy, 8 ½ of those years here in Charleston.  After my first winter here, I had no notion of leaving South Carolina for my home state of Ohio. (yes, another Ohio transplant).  After the Navy I eventually shifted gears, and joined the Air Force Reserves.  After ten years of reserve duty I completed my Military service.

	The benefit on no tax on my retirement would be of great help as I look ahead to my future days of an active retirement.  I have no plans for that however for at least five more years.

	I my civilian life, I have continue to support the military in my job.  Since 1984, I have worked with contractors would support government programs through SPAWAR.  I enjoy my job, and always look forward to new opportunities and challenges to provide the military the best possible product.

	If you need any supporting help or activist for this legislation, please feel free to reach out to me.  I have always support you and the work you have done, and will continue as long as you're in office.
