To Whom It May Concern,

I recently received my homeowner's policy renewal form to find that my rates had increased 32%.  I was told by the company that the South Carolina Insurance Commission had approved the increase.  I have never filed a claim for losses on the property, and in the four years I have lived in this home, my premiums have increased by nearly 50%.  This much of an increase is never justified, but especially in this day and age, when family incomes are not increasing, and insurance companies are making profits, such increases are not sustainable by most families.  The fact that the insurance company felt justified in increasing rates is bad enough, but to discover that our state Commission approved such a price gouging increase is even more reprehensible.  

Please stand up for the citizens of your state and fight back on these increases.  If there is corruption in the Commission which leads to them approving these increases, then demand reform.  Families are struggling out here and it seems that no one in government cares-prove me wrong, please!
