Dear Governor
Haley,
"We the People" won a major victory in the U.S. Supreme
Court
by a vote of 8-0. In Evenwel v. Abbott, the plaintiffs hoped
to
manipulate legislative districts and radically change the
U.S.
Constitution to make millions of our friends, family, and
neighbors
invisible in our democracy.
This decision thankfully
allows states to count every person and not
only voters when drawing
state legislative districts. But these
extremist attacks on our
democracy aren't over. Our redistricting
should be based on counting
every resident and any attempts to change
our state constitution should
be blocked.
I am urging you to hold firm and defend We the People
of our state!
