I live in fear of being stalked and harassed, worried my family will be contacted, fearful my employer will be contacted. And just simply the embarrassment when a random person I know contacts me and says "hey did you know there are nude photos of you on the Internet?" Yes, it has happened numerous times now. I have spent countless hours trying to remove stolen images (along with my address, place of employment and links to social media accounts) off the internet knowing that I am just at the mercy of some webmaster who actually may have just enough decency to remove them. Most don't. It's unfair and disheartening to know that someone can, without legal recourse, break into an email or personal computer and steal personal photos and information and share it with the world. Yet it's a federal offense to remove a piece of paper mail from someone's mailbox. This is a real and very distressing situation that needs attention. We should not have to be humiliated and live in fear.
