Haley, Even though I am a Democrat, I appreciate you reason and many of the decisions you make. I am an older gay man who grew up in Columbia. As soon as I was old enough I left SC for college and Grad School. I have spent most of my life on the West Coast in a progressive and fully accepting culture. I chose to never move back to SC even though I often wish I were closer to my family. If the new proposed law by Bright were to be enacted I would forever stay out of your state. on the other hand, hearing your response today to the Bright proposal gave me a reassuring feeling that I could visit my family and feel less discriminated against. It gives me some hope that some day the kids in your state that are born gay will have a better and experience than I did, not so depressed and in pain like I was. Thanks for being a voice of reason in a Republican field of reactionary fear and bigotry. Respectfully, Gurney Miller
