Please request a copy of the records for my son Douglas Murphy at the Richland Two District Office and tell me that you agree to have him put out of school for the remaining of the school year? If yes, what do you suggest we do to continue his education? Send him to alternative school that can do very little for the troubled students and parents due to limited budgets? District Two made a decision to expell my child based on personal input and not complying with policy. The Board in turn agreed to the decision without considering the efforts made by parents seeking additional help for the child. Now that you are campaigning, put some focus on who is running the schools in Columbia and what alternatives are given to the taxpayers. Please begin with my son's issue. Yes, he misbehaves but not a menace to society. Just a typical teenage young man faced with peer pressure and immature. What will SC do if I decided to pull my son out of school for half the school year? Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.
