As a vehicle operator, I witness daily the unsafe manner in which these mopeds are driven without any regard for others. These moped drivers do not have to pay vehicle taxes or insurance premiums like I do but they get to operate on the roads just like I do. They do not have to purchase a license to operate and they cannot be charged with driving under the influence but I do suspicion that they do get to vote along with the business owners who sell and rent these dangerous toys. Respectfully, I work as a registered nurse in the operating room and I witness first hand the carnage that uncontrolled operation of mopeds causes to the citizens of our county. It makes no common sense to veto this bill based on government overreach without coming to our town and driving around for just two hours and stopping by the emergency department too. Thank you for the opportunity to voice my opinion to you. I am not likely to vote for you now that this veto has been given to the moped bill.
