(Greenville-AP) Dec. 10, 2003 -- Governor Mark
Sanford has tapped six campaign finance veterans to lead
fund-raising for his 2006 re-election bid.
Sanford says that group will spend about a year
putting the campaign's finance infrastructure in place
in the state's 46 counties. He says he has needed to
focus on his legislative agenda without the distraction
of raising campaign money.
The committee members are Doctor Eddie Floyd of
Florence, Spartanburg broker Barry Wynn, Columbia car
dealer J.T. Gandolpho, lawyer-banker John Rainey of
Anderson, Bill Hewitt of Charleston and Columbia
businessman Bill Stern.
Sanford says he has not set a fund-raising goal.
