Because of the recent controversy regarding removing the Confederate flag from South Carolina's State Capital grounds, a local artist's painting of the late President Lincoln was removed from exhibit. It was initially on display at Keg Cowboy Cafe in downtown Lexington, South Carolina. The (24x36) original painting, titled "Lincoln's Dilemma," was painted by Art Gomez, a resident of Lexington, in 2014-in honor of President Lincoln's civil war predicament. It depicts a portrait of Lincoln with U.S. and Confederate flags in the background. A smaller version of the same painting was sold at Keg Cowboy just last year. Once the larger version art piece is sold, Gomez is donating 50% of the proceeds to Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Charleston! The acrylic painting is now on sale "on-line" to the highest bidder-on EBay! All bids must be in by July 12, 2015. To bid, go to http://www.ebay.com/ (original art).
