As a result of the continuous flooding in South Carolina, Marvin Ward Elementary School conducted an informal twenty four hour donation collection to send to South Carolina.  The staff and students of this title I school met this challenge with an extraordinary outcome.  They collected clothing, blankets, towels, baby supplies, toiletries, pet food, and over sixty cases of water!
     I am requesting a certificate of appreciation from the Governor to this school.  This certificate will be properly displayed at the school as a reminder to future classes of the importance of neighbors helping neighbors.
