Lower taxes make business more profitable and successful. It helps small business and brings in others. I see the DOT road blackmail and am glad you are hanging tough. I once worked for the wildlife department. I saw that when their funs were reduced they shut down public boat ramps. That move resulted in complaints to the legislators that got them their funding back. They didn't reduce in things that wouldn't cause public complaints. DOT seems to be doing the same with letting the roads go. I hope you find a way to let the general public better understand that type of Agency ploy, some of us see it but to many citizens only see the roads and don't understand. They are mislead into thinking higher taxes will solve it. I like your call for disclosure for income sources from legislators;disclosure makes it harder to hide decisions that are in their personal financial interests instead of the states. I am impressed with your fight on corruption. I believe I see an issue with many of our licensing boards covering up for or taking care of their licensees. It appears that many boards have to many dismissals of complaints, very soft compromises/penalties and few licenses revoked. I know there are probably a good percent of meritless complaints but there are also a reasonable percent that have a lot of merit. Taking licenses where violations are caught goes a long way towards ending corrupt practices and protecting the citizens. The purpose of requiring licenses is supposed to be to protect the citizens. I believe looking at the number of complaints and what percentages result in serious sanctions and loss of license, may strongly show which boards are trying to help root out corruption and protect the citizens of the state and conversely, which are trying to protect their members and are supporting improper behavior at the expense of our citizens and state. Thank you for your fights against corruption, over taxation and our states rights to do what is best for us and the country. I know your office is busy and there is much to fix. I think simply letting the boards know, they are there to insure integrity in their licensees and also expecting reports showing the percentages of complaints that result in loss of licenses, will help fix many problems and show which boards may need new board members. I am simply one of your citizens and supporters. Thank you. Forrest.
