I am an applied and computational mathematician and mathematics educator whose dream is to work with the outreach efforts of the technology industry, academia, STEM education efforts, and governmental agencies and multiply its efforts to increase diversity and inclusion, particularly with respect to gender/gender identity inclusions, pipeline problem, gender gap, etc.  I will be speaking at the SWELocal 17  Conference in Pittsburgh on my expertise in these areas.
                My most recent work in this area consisted of a research proposal successfully submitted to the Uruguayan government designed to introduce Womens' K-16 STEM outreach efforts typically found in Northern America to the developing world. I am currently engaged as a visiting lecturer at the Department of Mathematics, Cornell University discussing gender diversity within mathematics and mathematics education within the Cornell University course MATH 5080, whose catalog description states: "Participants examine principles underlying the content of the secondary school mathematics curriculum, including connections with the history of mathematics, technology, and mathematics education research".
              I am very interested in working with the UN and the US mission to the UN on efforts to encourage young women to pursue STEM education and STEM careers. Thank you so much for anything that you can do to help me, and congratulations on your confirmation as US ambassador to the UN!
