Dollar General is officially calling Union County home. The new multi-million dollar distribution center will be built just off Highway 176 near the Disney distribution Center. South Carolina's Governor was on hand for the announcement in Union Tuesday morning.

That is good news for Union County, that is suffered from major economic job losses in recent months. Dollar General will bring 500 new jobs with the facility.

One of the huge problems Union County has in getting industry is Highway 176 is their only main road. It takes twenty minutes to hit an interstate.

However, Dollar General picked Union County over 54 other locations, giving this job depressed county a chance.

Dollar General plans to break ground on the new facility in 60 to 90 days.
