JOHNS ISLAND, SC---Vegetable growers are invited to attend a special meeting from 12 Noon to 4 PM at Berkeley Electric Cooperative, on Thursday, November 15, 2001.

Growers attending this meeting will get first-hand information on drip irrigation management, disease management, new vegetable varieties and food safety. Methyl Bromide alternatives will also be discussed in great detail. Speakers will include: Dr. S. Olson-University of Florida; Gilbert Miller-Clemson Extension Service; Dwayne Mangum-National Resource Conservation Service; and Dr. A. Keinath, Dr. Richard Hassell, and Dr. Jim Rushing-all of Clemson University.

Pesticide license credit hours will be awarded at this meeting. Dow AgroSciences will help to sponsor this meeting.
