Can purchase bicycle helmets for the children? Does this fall into the catergory of "sports gear, protective". also can i use the Hsa Account to purchase Bicycles for the Children, does this fall into the category of Sports Gear or Exercise Equipement? I have called several agencies and all have "passed the buck" and "are not at liberty to advise", including the IRS. United Health Care Representative referred me to IRS. IRS Rep. informed me they have no one who can give me that information. I then Called Governors office, Hoping someone could help. However they referred me to DHL Human Resources Dept. DHL H.R referred me to United Health Care. United Health Care referred me to Irs. CAlled back to Goverenors office, told individual I had questions on Hsa eligible and ineligible expenses, and who i had called previously (passed around several more times), then my call landed in the S.C Ins.DEpt. who referred me back to Irs. and also referred me to Check.Claims@Fms.treas.gov. Three hours later, still no answer. The telephone numbers I have called:803-734-2100, 800-225-5345, 800-791-9361, 877-345-9455, 800-225-5345,803-734-2100,800-829-1040, 803-312-7900. As simple as my question is, the drama that no one has the ability to answer is very sad. If the agencies who enforces the tax laws and have the ability to audit an individual can not answer the tax law question, its a very Sad Sad Day in South Carolina. The Laws and Drama a person has to go thru, just to know if they are abiding by the law is Ridiculos. Dollie G. Villanueva 24.145.86.214
