FRUIT, VEGETABLE, & SPECIALTY CROP ASSOCIATION CHARTER MEETING
COLUMBIA---All growers of vegetables, fruits, and specialty crops are invited to attend the Charter meeting of the newly organized South Carolina Fresh Fruit, Vegetable and Specialty Crop Association. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at the Ramage Conference Center, Columbia State Farmers Market, Bluff Road across from Williams-Brice Stadium.
The new association is designed to enhance the promotion, education, and research efforts beneficial to this diverse fruit, vegetable, and specialty crop industry in South Carolina.
Sign-in for the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. The general business session begins at 10:30 a.m. to discuss the purpose and goals of the organization and to elect directors. After lunch, several educational speakers will cover topics of interest to vegetable and small fruit producers. The afternoon session is scheduled to end at 3:30 p.m.
Registration for the event is $25 per person which includes lunch at the meeting and a one-year membership in the association. Lunch will ONLY be provided to those who are pre-registered for the meeting.
