Honorable Governor,
I would like to urge you to please veto and strongly condemn S. 997. While the amended version isn't as absurd as the original, I cannot believe that it passed through the Senate as easily as it has. I realize that the federal government is constantly over-reaching it's authority, but making Syrian families and the non-profits looking to help them the scapegoats is not the answer. I have been very honored in the last few months to see the way that you have handled this issue, and also they ways you have stood up to Trump. I am writing as a citizen of SC to ask you to prayerfully consider your response to this knee-jerk legislation. Thank you for your time.
