If it was not a life threatening emergency, I certainly hope that the SC Government Employee responsible for such an irresponsible decision will be terminated; also it would have been helpful if the SCDOT would communicate these closings to local radio stations (I listened to traffic reports when I left my home and there were supposedly no problems on the interstates and I continued to listen...I even called the SCHP and they had no idea what was going on...gee maybe some inter-agency cooperation would help...ya' think???). It would be more advantageous to have staff communicate with local media outlets and law enforcement agencies instead of posting information on the (in my opinion) waste of money signs over the interstates...it is not very helpful to find out what is going on 2 miles from the problem after you have sat in hostile traffic for 45 minutes.
