HORTICULTURE 101
LEXINGTON---The Richland County and Lexington County Clemson University Extension Services cordially invite gardeners---novice and veteran---to participate in Horticulture 101---a six week basic course on the science and art of growing plants in the home landscape environment. The classes will be held each Saturday---April 6, 13, 20, and 27, and May 4 and 11, 2002---from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at 605 West Main St., Suite 109, Lexington, SC 29072.
Subjects will include soils; pest management, wood ornamentals, annuals and perennials; fruits and veggies; home turf management; and landscape design.
Pre-registration and pre-payment are required. Space is limited to 30 participants on a first come, first served basis. Class registration, which includes a notebook, is $60 per person. Registration checks should be made payable to Richland County Extension Fund and mailed to Clemson Extension, PO Box 192, Columbia, SC 29202.
