I believe that bills of this nature are anti-American in that they limit rather than promote freedom and equality. I believe that the support for bills like this results from fearmongering rather than substance. For instance, the fear of "men" in women's bathrooms is based on nothing. There have not been problems in the places where LGBT nondiscrimination ordinances have passed. Also, have you seen what trans men (meaning people born female who transition to male) look like? They have muscles. They have beards. They appear to be men . . . if you do not want men in the women's room, forcing trans men into the women's room is going in the opposite direction from where you want to go. Also, effecting a bill like this will open South Carolina to economic problems akin to what is happening in North Carolina now. But, most importantly, bills like this are morally and in all other ways *wrong*, and I urge you to oppose them. Thank you for your consideration. Best, Lawson Wetli
