As a citizen of SC and a veteran of the US Army, I would like to express my extreme disappointment with MY Governor for her NON-appearance at the recent presentation of the French Legion of Honor medal ceremony on Friday, March 11, 2016.  This ceremony represented the service of my Uncle, David C. Phillips, of Florence, SC, and five additional Distinguished Veterans for bravery in World War II.  The French Consul and our (SC) Veterans Affairs Commissioner both lead a gracious and respectful presentation, even as you, our Governor, was seen leaving your office by the 'side door'!  I mean no disrespect to you, even though I feel you disrespected these distinguished and elderly Heroes from the Great State of South Carolina.
