The young adult refused to obey the school rules and would not listen to the teacher, the administrator and the officer. If the student would have obeyed the districts rules then none of this would have happened. She is at fault. Her actions caused a series of events that could have been avoided. What is supposed to happen, make every student obey the rules except this one special student. Why do we enable students to not follow the rules and then penalize those we call to do what we cannot do ourselves. What would you have done if this was your daughter in your house and she did not listen to you. You probably would not cuff her, but would you have given corporal punishment to her? The student at Spring Valley suffered no injury. I have also written to the school district and the Sheriff's office as well about this. I am writing to you all because as a teacher I want to know what those of you in power want those of us who are powerless in these situations to do when from now on students all over the State start refusing to do their work and obey the rules (which help with a safer environment, those of you who are not in middle and high schools forget that these young adults can fire a gun, stab you with a knife and hit pretty hard). Let me ask you Governor, if someone refused to get up out of a chair in your office regardless of age, what would your police force do in the Capitol?
