12th Annual Spring Symposium



COLUMBIA---The SC Midlands Master Gardeners Association and Riverbanks Zoological Park and Botanical Garden invites the public to attend their 12th Annual Spring Symposium, titled "The Natural Gardener," to be held from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2002, at Riverbanks Zoo and Botanical Garden.

On Symposium Day, veteran and novice gardeners will have the opportunity to hear three featured speakers, visit six hands-on demonstrations, shop at the plant sales, and browse through The Happy Bookseller's array of tempting garden books. In addition, participants will be invited to stroll through Riverbanks Botanical Garden. The day will be divided into 4 sessions---two in the auditorium of the Zoological Park and two in and around the visitors Center of the Botanical Garden. During the lunch break, each group will travel across the bridge to the opposite venue for the afternoon sessions.
