We can't afford to fund our poorest schools. We can't afford safe school buses. We can't afford enough case workers for DHEC child services. We can't afford enough inspectors of dams to prevent catastrophe." The list is seemingly endless. There are so many, many critical needs. Budget "surplus" is an illusion. We need the revenue from a gas tax hike to fund road and infrastructure repairs. Please let me know your thinking on this. Thank you.
