We are a 61 &amp 56 with only 1 income that makes 27,040 yrly take home of 20,000. So monthly is 1668 Minus house 335,insurence and taxes 250,utilities 225, gro 500,phone 100 ( 2 flip phones)gas for 2 20yrs old cars 200, 50 for credit cards. There is NOTHING LEFT so please tell me how we can afford to pay for health care. we have been approved for limited Medicaid and are waiting to hear back from Healthcare. Since Nov we have been on a roller coaster with this.We have been told we make to much to be exempt for the penalty,then told since our state did not expand medicaid we would be exempt.Also told not to let the insurence companies pressure us for they want to sell us or scare us to buy yet also told with tax credits we would still have to pay for insurence that has a 16,000 ded, then pays 50 %. So basically no good. we were on Consumers Choice for 2 yrs till 12/30/15 but it was free even though of no use to use because of the same thing.We need medicaid expanded, is not clear we are living off of the basics no fluff or living way above our means.I have been off all my meds for 2 yrs because I can not afford to go to the dr or buy them.This is the naked truth of our lives.Even though we disagree with Obamacare, we are stuck with it, pay fed taxes like everyone else and other states so why cant we expand to help us in need.
