Thank you for bringing this issue to the forefront. Unfortunately you misunderstand that the Confederate Flag is many things to many people of color or not.  My color is white.  I hope you know that by doing what you are going to do Friday morning will not erase the sacrifices that prior, current and future military men and women will endure.  You have just succumbed to the ignorant American black and white people to trample all over the sacrifices that all wars have endured and my father fought in two wars.  I will ask him to forgive you when I visit his grave in Salisbury North Carolina the next time.  I hope this term is your last.  The black race is fueling this I promise you.  There are no slaves today like it was hundreds of years ago.  You apparently do not read the bible cause if you did you would know that slaves are talked about in the bible quote Leviticus 25:44-46 for starters.  Also you would know that the founding fathers starting with George Washington $1 bill, Thomas Jefferson $2 bill and Union General Grant $50 were all slave owners.  It is of my opinion that if you could talk to a true slave from that era they were treated a hell of a lot better than what the black current generation keeps relating to.  I also think that the first slaves were sold by the black man.  They had a bed to sleep in and food on the table.  Now the south is having to deal with a bulk of the Yankees from the north moving to the south cause the taxes are cheaper and they can take their retirement and live a hell of allot better here than their living in their native north.  Now, are you going to try and take these founding fathers off of the U.S. currency?  I sure hope not.  You just put a slap on my father and ALL who have served past present and future in our militaries.  God Bless you because you are going to need it.  Enjoy this short lived fame cause I hope you do not serve another term.  I am not racist and am a proud to live in North Carolina.  Take this away from the conversation if you do not take anything else.....God and yes I said God chose the color of ALL our skin and HE expects us to act accordingly.  Look at ALL of the issues there would NOT be if the color of our skin was transparent!   Chew on that for a while and when I visit my fathers grave which by the way is in a historical cemetery in Salisbury North Carolina I will ask him to forgive you for messing with history.
