Camden Riviere was born in Charleston SC raised in Aiken SC, he Attended Aiken Prep and Aiken High and played tennis at both schools. He played "Real/Court" Tennis as well as Lawn/grass tennis his whole life. Court Tennis brings visitors to Aiken to play in tournaments at the Aiken Tennis Club, Camden is a member. The sport combines the elements of all racquet sports along with mental and strategic challenges. Aiken has had several other members achieve the title of World Champion: Northrup Knox and Jimmy Bostwick Camden is the first American in 42 years to win Singles World Championship of Court Tennis. Currently holds titles in Singles and Doubles World Championships and Singles and Doubles US and British Open Championships. Tennis is a big draw for Aiken for tourism at Odell Weeks, Woodside, Houndslake, Fermata and South Aiken High School is a State powerhouse in the sport, it is fitting to celebrate the role of racquet sports in our community.
