Ive been up and down the east coast and this area has got to be the worst place. It seems like every builder likes these 1099's. Clemson / Anderson area. What I'm proposing is a model simaler to Naples Fl, every worker was covered for workers comp. up here it's a battle, it could be a lot easier if builders used a payroll service that offers comp. taking taxes out ect. This system of conducting buisness is beyond old and crooked for everyone involved. The county code enforcement needs to be a lot more active making sure these builders and sub-contractors have workers comp and proper license. Best regards Scott.
