Peanut Nutrition


Peanuts are called the "Protein Powerhouse" by nutritionists. They are 26% protein and contain all eight of the essential amino acids. Fatty acids present are a good energy source and are 84% unsaturated. Peanuts are cholesterol FREE. Only foods of animal origin will contain cholesterol. Peanuts also contain three of the B-vitamin complex, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Calcium, Phosphorus, Magnesium, Potassium, Iron, Zinc, Manganese, Copper, Selenium, and Boron.
