I left SC, the home of my birth in 1946, in 1996.   My family immigrated from Scotland via Ireland in the 1700's. In 1964 I graduated from high school in Columbia, SC and lived in Charleston, SC raising my two children.  Finally, in 1996, I left SC. In 2002, I finally left the south moving to the pacific NW in 2002.  I will never return to the prejudice of the south.  As a white child viewing the cross burnings of the CCC, my soul was forever damaged by the hate that lives on in the south.  It must be dealt with on an adult level!
