I am writing to ask for an opportunity to set up an interview to discuss my military transition plans and ideas for a potential career enhancement within your Government. 

1) The Army Directive 2015-12 (I can send a copy of this or you can google the directive easily) allows retiring military personnel to participate in an interniship while on active duty. (180 days prior to seperation). I would like to work with your organization in an effort to gain valuable work experience and supporting your Education initiatives. I am retirng soon and I am completing my Masters as well this spring. 

2) I can send you my military resume and transcripts if interested. My current position in the Army is working as an assistant Inspector General for the Office Of The Inspector General. The combination of my work experience an education would benefit your plan to reform the education plan for your state. 

I do plan on retiring and South Carolina is one of the States I am considering. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
