I checked with DMV about getting a Viet Nam license plate and was told there was an extra charge for the plate. I realize you are trying to take in some extra revenue, but at the expense of Veterans. Just does not seem like the right thing to do. I served one year in Viet Nam and so did my brother. I think the extra fee for Veterans DMV license plates should be discontinued. There seem to be a lot of automobile accidents in Myrtle Beach. One reason is because the streets have a north side and south side. If a person is looking for 10th street in Myrtle beach, there is a North & South. Most of the tourist do not know this and make there turn down 10 street and is not the place they were looking for, and they are now running late and take chances trying to find this place. Then they get involved in accident because of this. Another reason for wrecks is if you are crossing Highway 17 business without a light, you have to dodge some big pot holes when making the turn. You cannot see the hole until you are crossing the street and if you dodge it to the right, you could cause an accident. We take in a lot of revenue from our tourist and we should try and keep them safe. Thanks, James Hall
