(Florence) – First Lady Mary Wood Beasley's health continues to improve today as McLeod Regional Medical Center officials upgraded her condition to good.

 Mrs. Beasley remains in an intensive care unit, where she was taken yesterday after experiencing complications following the birth of her son, Samuel Ross. She will undergo more tests today to determine when she can be released from the intensive care unit.

 Samuel Ross Beasley's health is fine, Governor David M. Beasley reports. "He's doing great," the Governor said.

 Governor Beasley asked that South Carolinians continue to pray for his wife. "Words cannot express how deeply touched we are by the prayers and expressions of support," Governor Beasley said.

 Governor Beasley also thanked the staff at McLeod Regional Medical Center for their dedication and help.
