(KERSHAW, SC)---Roger M. Estridge, Jr., Agricultural Education Teacher at Andrew Jackson High School in Kershaw, SC, was recently named President of the National Young Farmer Educational Association at its national conference in Cheyenne, Wyoming, according to John Parris, State Director of Public Affairs with the SC Young Farm and Agribusiness Association.

Estridge, a graduate of Clemson University with a BS and MS Degrees in Agriculture, also owns a beef cattle and small grain farm in Anderson County in partnership with his brother. A Past President of the SC Young Farmer and Agribusiness Association, Estridge is a member of the historic Pendleton Farmers Society.

“He is the first president of the [National Young Farmer Educational] association from the south in the more than 50 year history of the national organization,” said Parris.
