Rematch in fall

• District 27 state Sen. Vincent Sheheen (D), and challenger Steve Kelly (R), will face each other again in the fall general election, replaying February’s special election to fill the seat of the late Don Holland.

Unopposed races

• District 65 state Rep. Jay Lucas (R), was unopposed Tuesday and will be in the fall; his district includes parts of northern Kershaw County and portions of Chesterfield, Darlington and Lancaster counties.

• Kershaw County Council members James Arthur (D), John Lee (D), and John Wells (R) were unopposed Tuesday and will be in the fall.
