Instead of removing the confederate flag from your government buildings and destroying American history maybe you should better educate your citizens on what that flag represented. It would be counter productive to take the lazy route and just take the flag down instead of providing better education on what it stood for. In the event that you didn't know what it stood for allow me to give you some information regarding it's primary existence. Much like the American flag the red white and blue stood for justice, valor, and purity. The 13 stars stood for the 13 original colonies, and the X stood for the disapproval of federal government trying to impose laws on the agriculture states that the southern states didn't agree on. These issues came long before the conception of the abolishment of slavery. It's a slap in the face to the thousands of dead black and white men who fought to defend the constitution of the United States and South Carolina if you choose to remove those flags.
