As a young southern woman I am highly disappointed in the race division you have recently contributed to by removing the confederate flag from your government agencies. You have added to the division of our country by making southerners who take pride in their heritage by displaying the flag look like racists. The confederate flag has nothing to do with the actions of one sick person and it does not define all southerners as racist. Your actions have created a firestorm of ridiculous thinking among the public that we need to basically erase our civil war history. I am disappointed in you as a woman and as a leader. I take pride in my southern roots and history and I am proud of all the people who fought for the south. We should never forget the people who fought and died for this country. You should rethink what your priorities are as a leader. This action from you is disgraceful to all who value our history.
