Back then South Carolina was known as the Best State on the Best Roads. Today my son and I returned from Charlotte to Atlanta on HWY 85 south. When we got into South Carolina heading to Atlanta out of North Carolina the roads became TERRIBLE. They were that way until we got around Greenville on interstate 85 south. What happened to the Best State on the Best Roads? That stregth had the worst roads and they were really dangerous especially to our car. My youngest moved to Charlotte around three years ago and each time we travel to Charlotte we talk about that stretch of bad roads. This upsets me about my graet state. thank you. Sincerly, Mrs. Waronker
