Haley - I would like to ask that the state consider measures to protect the identity of our police officers. My husband wears his name on his uniform and he signs every report with his name, not to mention his appearances in court. Anyone can google his name or check the county website for a property search to find our address. This makes our entire family a target. It is something that has always been in the back of my mind but it is all I can think about. Other states have already taken measures to protect the identity of their officers and I think SC should give it some serious consideration and quickly. The discussion in my household is that the job just is not worth it anymore, and I assure you it is happening in other law enforcement households as well. I ask you as a mother to take quick action without delay to put in place steps to protect our household, no one should be able to search and find an officers address by his name.
