SLED charges state employee with forging check

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - State agents have charged a Labor, Licensing and Regulation Department employee with forging a check and cashing it.
Jarius Deon Hook, 32, was arrested Friday afternoon and charged with forgery, the State Law Enforcement Division said.
Last month, Hook took the $195 check written to LLR, altered it by putting his name on it and cashed it, according to an arrest warrant.
