My name is Brendan McDowell and I represent the student body of Myrtle Beach's Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology's Entertainment Technology major. In this major, we primarily focus on the technicality of film and broadcast journalism. 

As of recently, we have been given the duty to educate our students on the the Governor's Proclamation of the metric system. In order to bring attention to the importance of the metric system and its relevance in today's society, we would gladly invite Governor Haley to join us at the Academy for a very special news segment with the Governor.

If it is not possible for her to make an appearance, we greatly appreciate any sort of quote or statement by the Governor in which she provide for us to use regarding the metric system.
