I am seeking help for my sister. She moved to Maryland in June of last year to get away from her estranged husband. He has pending charges against him in the county of Darlington because in June of 2012 he pointed a gun in her face and threatened to shoot her and also has charges of threatening the life of a public official. He has violated the restraining order against him on several occasions only to receive a slap on the hand. He also took my dad to court to try to get his guns back after this incident because he stated my dad has his shotgun. In the presence of the magistrate judge in Chesterfield he told my dad he could shoot his house up if he wanted to and he is still out and about and free. As my sister has a pending custody suit set up in Maryland because the children have been in Maryland over six months so they have jurisdiction over them, he has filed for emergency custody after over a year. In his affidavit he states that he just does not know why the cops showed up to his house and arrested him in actuality they showed up at my father's house to arrest him. His whole affidavit is total perjury and it was sworn upon.  The legal system in Darlington and Chesterfield counties are total failures. They do not seek to protect the people here. How can this man who has violated restraining orders and threatened the life of police still be on the roads allowed to do as he pleases? I really hope that Governor Haley will take a look at the judicial systems in these counties and help out the people who truly need it most, the victims. It seems more criminals here have more rights than their victims.
