HOLTZ-SPEAK
Some of the words of wisdom USC coach Lou Holtz offered Gov. Mark Sanford's Cabinet on Wednesday:

If you don't have a vision and you don't have a plan, people will not accept you as a leader.

I've never seen a monument built to a team, and I've never known anybody to accomplish anything by themselves.

Our overall goal is far more important than your role.

As the challenge escalates, the need for teamwork elevates.

You cannot have a weak link.

Everybody must pay the price.

People have to be able to count on you.

Nothing is more contagious than a bad attitude.

Don't tell me how rocky the sea is; bring the ship in.

You have to have core values.
